As we all know, Oneplus used to be the most loved brand by tech enthusiasts as it used to provided us with the best features for the lowest possible price but this hasn't been the case from the last few years as Oneplus constantly increased their pricing and now is directly fighting with the big dogs of this smartphone market.
With this they are defineitely making more profit which is good for them as a company, but what about their enthusiast fans? They just let slip the public which made them what they are?
Well this had been the case for the last 2 years but after seeing the rumours of nord 2 floating around, it looks like oneplus does care about their enthusiast fan base.
With the nord 2, Oneplus is again hoping to conquer the upper midrange market which recently is dominated by the best value providers - Mi , realme , iqoo. Seeing this competition , Oneplus has a very very tough competition and would be very difficult for a brand to make a name, but as oneplus has been here now for quite a few years now, everyone is eagerly waiting for the launch of the Nord 2.
Nord 2 is said to be equipped with a 6.55 in FHD+ Samoled 120Hz display (probably taken from the oneplus 8t/9R). Powering this display is a mediatek dimensity 1200 AI which performs closer to snapdragon 870 if not better.
The place where brands compromise in this price range is the camera's and thankfully the camera setup on the nord looks good( atleast on paper). It's said to come with a primary 50MP sony IMX766 camera taken directly form the oneplus 9 series. Also it will get a decent sized 4500 mAh battery with support for fast charging upto 65W.
The pricing as leaked by a Tipster on twitter suggests that the price for base variant (8+128) is going to be 29999 rupees, which if turns out to be true, would be a great pricing. It will directly compete with Mi 11x , Iqoo 7 , Poco F3 gt. Considering the brand value of Oneplus and the clean UI which they provide, it clearly looks like Oneplus has a chance to make a comeback in this price range.
