Install Minecraft on any debian based Linux Distro | Download minecraft on ubuntu , kali linux , parrot os

Linux has always been a better alternate for windows if the user wants to customize the UI according to his use case.

But one thing that frustrates every user is the lack of games support on Linux distros. So here's an easy guide on installing and running Minecraft on your Linux machine. I have divided the process in some simple steps, so if your machine fulfills the requirements , skip to the next step.

1) Install java if not installed -

If you are rocking any Debian-based Linux (Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Kali Linux, parrot os), you can check if java is installed or not by typing java --version in the terminal.

I am using kali Linux and here's how it would look if java is installed.

If it is not installed, simply type the code in order-

a) sudo apt-get update

b) sudo apt-get upgrade

c)sudo apt install default-jdk and then click Y

Java will be installed and then you can check the version by writing java --version.

2) After installing java you have to download a .zip file for tlauncher (launcher that runs Minecraft)

For that click on the link here- Tlauncher

It will redirect you to a site where you can download zip files.

Extract the zip file to your preferred location.

3) Running the game-

Go to the directory where you have extracted the zip file. Right-click and open the folder in terminal and write the code - sudo java -jar TLauncher-2.82.jar  and enter your password.

This will open the Tlauncher page and now you can enter your username and click enter the game to open the game!

Tutorial on How to remove all unwanted apps in Mi/Poco phones!!

Xiaomi phones do provide us with the best value phone but this comes with a compromise. Some lower end Mi/Redmi/Poco phones come with a lot of preinstalled apps with some which we can't even uninstall.

So here's an easy guide with the help of which you can remove all the bloatware (including GetApps, scanner) from your phone.

Requirements

To remove all the waste apps you just need a laptop/pc and a data cable.

Setup to be done on the phone -

1) First you need to enable USB debugging on your phone. To do so first click 6-7 times on the MIUI version on your phone .

2)Then a pop-up saying You are now a developer pops up , meaning that now you can access developer option.

3)In the Additional settings , you will now find a new option "Developer Options" , click on it.

4)In it, you will see a toggle for USB debugging , just enable it.

Setup to be done on the PC

1) In order to remove junk apps, we need to install 2 applications which i have provided below  ( Note that the Xiaomi ADB is common between windows, mac , linux but the .jar file is different for all 3)-

.jar file - Windows , Mac , linux

Xiaomi ADB -ADB file

2) After downloading both the files, you have to install .jar file which is a very straight forward process.

3) After installing .jar file, connect you phone to your PC using your data cable. Select the file transfer option on your phone after connecting the cable.

4) After connecting the phone, open the Xiaomi ADB application.
Here you will see a list of applications installed on your phone.

5) Select all the applications you want to remove and then click on uninstall.

Voila!! All the unwanted apps are gone.

6) Also there is a list of all the uninstalled apps, so if the phone doesn't work properly after removing the apps, it means you have removed an important application.

Here is a list of applications you can remove -
Cleaner
GetApps
Mi Calender
Mi cloud
Mi credit
Mi drop
Mi Pay
Mi share
Music

Do note that after updating your phone, these apps will return, so i would recommend you not to remove this software from your machine. It would hardly take a few seconds to remove these apps later on.

OnePlus is back??

As we all know, Oneplus used to be the most loved brand by tech enthusiasts as it used to provided us with the best features for the lowest possible price but this hasn't been the case from the last few years as Oneplus constantly increased their pricing and now is directly fighting with the big dogs of this smartphone market.

With this they are defineitely making more profit which is good for them as a company, but what about their enthusiast fans? They just let slip the public which made them what they are?

Well this had been the case for the last 2 years but after seeing the rumours of nord 2 floating around, it looks like oneplus does care about their enthusiast fan base.

With the nord 2, Oneplus is again hoping to conquer the upper midrange market which recently is dominated by the best value providers - Mi , realme , iqoo. Seeing this competition , Oneplus has a very very tough competition and would be very difficult for a brand to make a name, but as oneplus has been here now for quite a few years now, everyone is eagerly waiting for the launch of the Nord 2.

Nord 2 is said to be equipped with a 6.55 in FHD+ Samoled 120Hz display (probably taken from the oneplus 8t/9R). Powering this display is a mediatek dimensity 1200 AI which performs closer to snapdragon 870 if not better.

The place where brands compromise in this price range is the camera's and thankfully the camera setup on the nord looks good( atleast on paper). It's said to come with a primary 50MP sony IMX766 camera taken directly form the oneplus 9 series. Also it will get a decent sized 4500 mAh battery with support for fast charging upto 65W.

The pricing as leaked by a Tipster on twitter suggests that the price for base variant (8+128) is going to be 29999 rupees, which if turns out to be true, would be a great pricing. It will directly compete with Mi 11x , Iqoo 7 , Poco F3 gt. Considering the brand value of Oneplus and the clean UI which they provide, it clearly looks like Oneplus has a chance to make a comeback in this price range.

A samsung midranger with a flagship processor!!

We all know that samsung always focused on the battery and camera and just gave a decent processor for their midrange phones and reserved the powerful ones for the flagships.

Well not this time. Today samsung launched a new phone in their F series named F62.

The phone is a M51 with some improvements (some really good one's).

The phone has a 6.7 inch super amoled+ display with a normal 60HZ panel. Its the same as it was on the M51. Coming to the back, its a plastic back with some pattern. Also we can see 4 rear cameras on the back which include 64MP main IMX 682 sensor, 16MP ultrawide lens paired with two 5MP depth and macro lens. The single punch hole on the front holds a 32MP shutter.

Coming to the performance front, the phone is powered by the exynos 9825 which is a flagship processor used in the note 10 series. After seeing some raw benchmark scores we can say that this processor is more powerful than the 765G which we get in this price range. It is a 7nm based processor and can run anything you thrown at it. But the main problem is sustained performance. For some shorts sessions of gaming for like half hour , the phone will run fine but as the temperature crosses 40 degree mark, it thermal throttles and the performance becomes choppy.

Also exynos is known as a power hungry chipset but the F62 packs in a humongous 7000mah battery which will easily last anyone one typical day if not two.

The phone also supports 25W fast charging with the fast charger included in the box. The phone can also charge different devices with wired charging.

The Samsung F62 is priced at 24000 rupees for the 6+128GB model and 26000 for the 8+128 model.

 CONCLUSION

Definitely the samsung F62 is a great midranger for the price and offers great performance and battery life .

Also it comes out of the box with full one ui 3.1 with all the features A series gets.

The phone has a thick body and comes with a normal 60Hz panel while the competition is offering 90HZ panels. But if you don't mind these cons then F62 is a great device and you can consider it.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE ONEPLUS EVENT!!!

Oneplus, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer every year organizes 2 big events to unveil the best they can offer for the best price. Last year they launched their oneplus 8 series of phones and that was a big hit. So we expect oneplus to launch their next flagship series that is the Oneplus 9 series in a few months and here is want we expect oneplus to launch in that event.

ONEPLUS 9 AND 9 PRO

Oneplus since the launch of the oneplus 7 series has started to give 2 phones in a single event, one which is bang for the buck and skips off some features to bring the price down like wireless charging, IP68 rating. And then we have the high end PRO phone which directly fights with the big players of this game. For example, Oneplus 8 pro was the first truly "flagship" phone by oneplus as they didn't cut any corners (except the camera's).

So same goes for the upcoming 9 series of smartphones. We can expect to get a oneplus 9 and a Oneplus 9 pro.

The specs for these models will be super high end (obviously). So a snapdragon 888 chip, 120HZ display with flat bezels on the 9 and slightly curved on the pro. FHD+ display on the regular 9 while the 9 pro will pack a 1440p display.

ONEPLUS WATCH

Now this sounds weird right? well let me explain. Oneplus as we know is a company which makes flagship killer phones but from the past 1 year , oneplus has been trying to get into some different departments. For example they launched their NORD series and got into the midrange market. Also they recently oneplus band which eventually was a rebranded version of OPPO band.
As OPPO has also launched a high end OPPO watch, we expect oneplus to also launch a new smartwatch which they might call as Oneplus watch.

ONEPLUS 9 LITE / ONEPLUS 9E

As I just said oneplus has been trying to get into different markets and as their prices for the flagships is increasing year after year, there is a small price gap of 35000 - 45000 rupees where they will probably launch a new "LITE" version of the 9 series.
Till now the specs for this smartphones are not clear but we can expect it to be powered  by the last year's flagship processor that is snapdragon 865+ or maybe the recently launched snapdragon 870 which is just a 865+ with 3% increased CPU speeds. Also it is said to borrow a lot from the Oneplus 8T and will offer all of this for a lower price.

A BIG LEAP IN THE CAMERA DEPARTMENT

The only thing which lets oneplus one step back to become a true flagship is the camera. With the oneplus 8 pro this problem was quite solved but still it's camera is not even close to the one's present on the note 20 ultra, 12 pro max.
To solve this problem, the R&D department at oneplus has been working really hard and this year we are going to see some drastic changes in the camera department. This was confirmed when Pete lau, on his weibo page posted that this year we will see a really good flagship grade camera module on Oneplus 9 series.

CONCLUSION

This is what we expect oneplus to unveil in their upcoming event which we anticipate to be held in april or may. Also these all are rumors and there can be changes in actual product.

Thanks for reading, hope you learnt something new

HERE'S YOUR FIRST LOOK AT THE UPCOMING ONEPLUS 9 !!!

We all know Oneplus is an independent brand and it works on it's own but actually most of the Chinese vendors like Oneplus , Vivo , Realme ,  Oppo are sub-brand of a bigger company called BBK electronics.

As they are all related to each other, they share their resources to save the R&D which eventually brings the cost of the device down.

Oppo recently launched their new phone which is the Oppo Reno 5 pro in India and probably oneplus is going to take the design from oppo and use it for their new 9 series.

Before talking about Oneplus, let's first have a look at Oppo reno 5 pro.

OPPO RENO 5 PRO

Oppo after the failure of their R series came up with this new Reno series which is the best oppo can offer and the reno 5 pro is no different. The phone comes with a modern glass sandwich design with frosted glass at the back. The phone is really thin and light weighing just over 170g.
The front of the phone sports a edge to edge single hole punch 6.55" super amoled display with a resolution of FHD+ and the display also sports high refresh rate upto 90HZ. The display quality looks good and the viewing angles are excellent.
Under the hood, Reno 5 pro runs on mediatek's dimensity 1000+ processor which paired with color os 11 based on android 11 will run everything you throw at it smoothly.
The back of the phone holds a quad camera set up which consists of  a 64MP main camera paired with a 8MP ultrawide and two 2 MP for macro and depth. The front single hole punch holds a 32MP selfie shooter.
Coming to the security front, as the phone sports an amoled display, it also has an indisplay fingerprint scanner which is fast and accurate.
The phone is priced at the price of rupees 36000 and it is one of the best offering in this price range if not the best.
I think Oppo has priced this phone really well and the new 1000+ processor has a performance equivalent to 855+. Also it has a decent 4350MaH battery with a 65W charger in the box.
If you are looking for a good camera phone with decent performance then this is the best device to go for but if software is the main priority then maybe a oneplus 8 is going to be a faster and cleaner device.

ABOUT THE UPCOMING ONEPLUS 9
As we all know oneplus and oppo have been sharing parts with each other for quite a while now, like the design of Oneplus 6T was taken from the Oppo R17 pro and many more so we can say that oneplus 9 will take some design elements from oppo reno 5 pro (most probably the display design).
The Oneplus 9 series will be unveiled in the next 2 months so lets see how Oneplus will take on the big players in the market.

CONCLUSION

The Oppo reno 5 pro is a great device for the price and is an easy recommendation to anyone and more importantly it gave us a first glimpse at the upcoming oneplus 9 .

Thanks for reading, hope you learnt something new.

BEST SMARTPHONES TO BUY IN DIFFERENT CATEGORY!! (2020)

In the year 2020, we got some really interesting phones but there are only few phones which get all the boxes ticked and hence become the best in their respective price point.

We will take different price brackets and i will give you the best devices which you can get right now.

 CATEGORY ONE - 5 TO 10K PRICE.

1) Redmi 9 prime -

In this price range, we don't get that good phones which can play pubg at 40 fps but this price segment offers some phones with really great battery life. This according to me is the best you can get . Its got a helio g80 which is a decent performer and combined with miui 12 , it will work fine. However i don't think you will get android 11 before Q3 2021 so be ready for that.

2) Nokia 2.4 -

Don't buy it if performance is your priority. Just get it if you want clean  and for android updates. It's a good phone which can be gifted to your grandparents, as they don't do that much heavy tasking. The battery life is great and can easily last one to one and half day. To get the exact specs i will link GSMARENA site where you will get the exact specs for the phone.

Also in this price we get the realme narzo 20A but i would say give 1k extra and get the redmi 9 prime, it is just far more better .

CATEGORY 2 - 10K TO 15K

This price range is too crowded and it is very difficult to give any one of the best devices so i will give you a list of 3-4 devices which are the best you can get for the price.

1) REALME 7-

This device is available for around 14k and it is one of the best device you can get right now. It's got a helio G95 which is capable of handling heavy tasking and will run flawlessly for day to day usage. Also its got a 90HZ smooth LCD display punch hole display which is one of the best we can get in this price range.

2) POCO X2 -
This phone was launched quite a while ago but still i think it has aged well and can still be considered before buying a new phone. It's got a snapdragon 730G which performs fine and can do some heavy tasking. Coming to display it's got a 120HZ display which is a feature a lot of premium midrangers are also not giving. The main concern has to be software updates but if you are ok with that then this device can be the one you can get.

SOME DEVICES WHICH CAN ALSO BE CONSIDERED-

3) Samsung M31/M21
4) Redmi note 9 pro / max
5) Micromax in note 1

CATEGORY 3 - 15K TO 20K

1) REALME 7 PRO -
This is by far the best midranger in this price range. It's got a comparatively small 6.44 inch display, the technology used is super amoled and has a single hole punch display, however the refresh rate is 60HZ. It's got a good 64MP quad camera and the sensor is sony IMX 682. Coming to the performance front it's got the snapdragon 720G which is great for day to day usage and some heavy tasking.

2) Samsung galaxy m31s
This samsung phone won't be recommended by many people but i would if you mainly use your phone for professional work and get many calls and use the phone outside with full brightness and don't do that much of gaming then this phone is for you. It's got a beautiful S-amoled display with a punch hole for camera. The battery is a HUMONGOUS 6000MAh cell which will easily last you one day whatever you do on your phone. The camera's are the best under 20k and are comparable to the one's shot on realme's 7 pro. The processor is not that powerful but it is fine for regular tasks.

SOME DEVICES WHICH CAN ALSO BE CONSIDERED-

3) Motorola one fusion plus.
4)  Samsung A51

CATEGORY 4 - 20K TO 30K

1) ONEPLUS NORD

This is by far the best midranger you can get in this price. Get the 6+128 version if you want . It's got a great 90HZ amoled display, Good built quality and a clean software experience. It's got a snapdragon 765G which is great for multitasking and gaming.

However if gaming is top priority then get-

2)REALME X3/X3 SUPERZOOM-

This phone is a performance champ, it's got a snapdragon 855+ and paired with realme ui it should perform better than oneplus nord however the display is a LCD display with 120HZ refresh rate. The display quality is just ok for the price . The thing which concerns me is the update situation on realme phones and the longevity of this phone might not be as good as Nord even though it has better processor. If you are into rooting your phone then this might be the best option you can have.

3) SAMSUNG M51-
If you want a great display paired with the best in class battery and a average performer, then this is the phone to go for. The main highlight of this phone is the battery, this phone packs a 7000MAh cell. It's got a snapdragon 730G which paired with one ui, will perform well and you won't feel any lag in the ui. One downside of this phone is the thickness of this phone . I have held the phone and it feels unusually heavy in our hand but maybe after using it for sometime it may fit in your hand.

SOME DEVICES WHICH CAN ALSO BE CONSIDERED-

4) If you prefer buying phones offline then VIVO V20 PRO is also a great option.
5) moto g 5g

CATEGORY 5 -  PREMIUM FLAGSHIPS

1) IPHONE 12 PRO MAX -
If budget is not an issue then according to me, iphone 12 pro max is the best phone which you can get. The processor is miles ahead of the counterpart . To compare , the last generation A13 bionic chip is more powerful than the snapdragon 888 which is going to be the flagship processor for the android part.
The camera's might not have that crazy 108MP camera but these are the most consistent camera's you can get.

2) SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 20 ULTRA

The best android can offer you is the samsung galaxy note 20 ultra. It has one of the best displays any smartphone has. The camera's are also great. The big benefit we get is the SPEN. The exynos version is not that great in battery life but still it can last anyone one day.

CONCLUSION AND MY THOUGHTS ON BUYING A NEW PHONE

2020 was a great year for the smartphone industry we saw some really interesting and innovative phones like the ZTE axon A20 5G Extreme edition . If you are considering buying a phone right now then i would suggest you that if it can be postponed then you can wait for 2-3 months as many midrangers from every brand like samsung, realme,mi all are coming up with midrange 5G phones which are going to be good value.
If you are considering to buy samsung A51 then wait as it's successor A52 5G is just going to be unveiled in 2 months or less. But if it is important then you have to prioritise 5G as it will come in 1 year or so.

PRO TIP-

For example if you want a phone in the price range of 25000 then you have oneplus nord right?
Well i would suggest you to get an older generation flagship (maybe second hand or refurbished)like the Oneplus 7T which you can get for around 26-27K. It will definitely perform better. It will get one less update but you still have the option to root your phone.

I hope this article gives the answers you want. If you have any doubts do ask me in the comments. Its anonymous so don't be scared of asking any type of questions.
